Pfirst edition of the book “Dimension and Properties of Space-Time” came out in 2004 year and contains the first part, dedicated to the discussion of basic concepts of physics, the reasons for their identification with certain mathematical concepts and the construction of the classical approximation of a unified field theory. In the classical approximation, the unified field naturally decays into gravitational, electromagnetic and torsion field. If the first two types of field are currently generally accepted, then the torsion field in the classical approximation has not yet been considered at all. However, it is quite possible, that it is this side of the unified field that is responsible for those phenomena of observational cosmology, the reason for which is now being sought in the so-called “dark matter” and “dark energy”. The book discusses only the most basic equations of field theory with allowance for torsion., and therefore, naturally, there are no applications of them to specific experimental situations.
